Hi... that was great stuff.. I really like reading on this subject Could you tell me more on that... I love to explore
ReplyDeleteI am intrgued by the use of simulations in nursing clinical education. They can be useful not only in undergraduate education but in the training of advanced practice nurses as well. One of the challenges for educators is finding brick snd mortar clinical sites that meet their students needs. I remember in my undergraduate obstetrics rotation never having seen an actual birth! In graduate school I had great difficulty finding a pediatric clinical preceptor and site. I have never seen any of the nursing scenarios offered in the simulations. I hope that the sims are not TOO controlled and that multiple problems are thrown at the students at once (as in real life) so that they can develop priorization and multi-tasking skills. I am in graduate school to be a nurse educator. I anticipate using nursing clinical simulations in the future. The scenarios that can be developed via simulations are virtually endless!
ReplyDeleteI too am intrigued with the use of hi-fidelity simulation in nursing education. Simulation helps develop and enhance nursing students critical thinking and decision making skills.
